Our happiness, purpose and meaning in life depend not upon external objects but on our internal mind set. This is clear from so many different aspects and viewpoints whether spiritual, philosophically or scientifically. We all need to work with our minds to bring greater joy and meaning into our lives. Sadly few of us have the knowledge or even more importantly the tools to be able to do this. Private Sessions with Tenzin will give you, in a personalised way, everything you need to begin this journey to inner joy. Tenzin will first examine your personal needs and requirements then he will provide both in theory and in practise the tools to begin to work with our own minds. Each session will involve discussion followed by practical action mainly through meditation to integrate these understandings into our lives. With an emphasis on providing the tools to actually live this in our daily routines so that one’s whole life becomes filled with this joy and meaning. Sessions will last approximately one hour and be accompanied by audio, written and visual materials to keep and practise. Tenzin also provides personal contact throughout your journey so you can report and discuss any issues at any time on your journey even once sessions have been completed. Free 30 minute introduction: consultation with Tenzin to find out your needs and introduce you to the program that Tenzin can offer. One off sessions: if you need a booster or a kick start to your practise Course of 10 sessions: A course of 10 sessions will give you a complete introduction to your path. Each module will be clearly explained and provide a step by step system to work with your mind both in theory and practical application. All you need to get started and keep going on your own.

Mindfulness in the 21st century


The reality of all of our lives is that they contain suffering, difficulties and problems. It is also our reality that we all wish to be happy. So, while this is not exclusive to the 21st century the reality, particularly of mental suffering has been compounded more than ever before. We must first understand where true well-being comes from and that it is from within ourselves not from external means that we bring this into our lives. Despite the enormous influences telling us otherwise, it is a complete error to believe that the more we consume the happier we will be. It is not what we take from the world that makes us happy it is what we bring to it from ourselves.


What is therefore the relevance of mindfulness in the 21st century? The inputs into our lives and therefore minds have become vastly more in number and the degree of complexity. As a result, our minds are far more unhealthy suffering from anxiety, worry, stress, depression and manifold other symptoms many of which were never so much of an issue before. Lack of mindfulness/awareness within our minds is one of the chief if not the root of many of these unhealthy mental issues.

A BSc in Psychology & Law, from the UK. A Ba and Masters in Eastern Spiritual and Philosophical traditions plus most of a Ph.D. in the same. As such Tenzin is uniquely qualified to utilize the best from both of these traditions to teach you how to bring stability and joy to the mind and thus into your life.


Following western studies in psychology, Tenzin has spent over 35 years in training, including 15 years as a monk alongside His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He spent the first 3 years in meditation retreat in the beautiful foothills of the Himalayas in India. This was followed by 12 years of in-depth study up to the Ph.D. level within HH Dalai Lama’s monastery. He is one of the few westerners fortunate enough to have had this incredible privilege; that of studying the traditional Tibetan language monastic curriculum.

During this period Tenzin was also able to travel and practice within all the major Buddhist traditions in India, Burma, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. He has also translated various works from Tibetan to English and served as a translator for many renowned Tibetan masters.

Additionally, Tenzin has led and been involved in 100’s of retreats worldwide in more than 10 countries over the last 35 years bringing long-term transformation to people’s lives.

Following his monastic studies, Tenzin decided he wanted to use all of the unique skills he had gained to the best advantage, to help others. Therefore, with the strong intention to follow His Holiness Dalai Lama’s instructions and blessings, he left the monastery and returned to lay life, where he could bring what he learnt to the wider world.
